Shuffle joins people together to create the kind of cities they want to live in. As an organisation, Shuffle works to build a more integrated community presence in the built and natural environment.

Shuffle Festival is an annual event in Mile End, which showcases these ideas. The festivities involve film, science, storytelling, performance art, architectural installations, walks, food, comedy and music. We aim to keep tickets affordable with the revenue providing funds for long-term neighbourhood projects.

Our aim is to make diverse and creative public places that are real community assets. We favour long-term thinking over the current dominant culture of development concerned only with the highest returns for the shareholders of large companies. This means that 'growth' is measured in the quality of places being built and the social impacts, rather than short-term profits.
